Knot So Happy:
From 10 yo DD: It looked really fun and the colors are really cool. The tabs are short, fat and right next to each other, making them difficult to tie. It's hard to get the knot right: too tight puckers, too loose leaves a hole. Some of the colors are more stretchy than others. Some tabs lose their shape when being tied. From me: This was overpriced for the quality. What should have been a good road trip activity was a bust that took up space.
Make sure she likes crafts for the journey, not the destination:
I liked this product overall, which was good since I and my sisters-in-law did a lot of the work. This toy is hard for a six year.:
We purchaesed this toy for an advanced 6 yr. old. Her mother ended up having to untie and redo the knots, because they were, well, knotted incorectly. This was very frustrating for the child. Also, the toy is very boring because it is just tying knots over and over. Would not buy again.
Great for a crafty child:
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter who loves anything crafty. She loves it, but be prepared to keep the pieces together for a while unless your child has an extremely long attention span. It's something fun that we work on together when we have some extra time, and she's thrilled with how it's turned out so far.
