got these for our 2 year old daughter. she loves them they are really easy to hold. generally these brushes are good size and good proportion for small hands.
poor quality:
Although these brushes are easy to hold for little kids the quality of the bristles is extremely poor. They don't absorb the colors at all (especially with the Melissa & Doug watercolors which are of equally poor quality) and it was very frustrating for my 2-year old to try to get color on paper. We used them once and never again.

Great brushes for little hands:
My 2.5 year old loves these brushes. The big handle is perfect for little toddler hands to grip well and the brushes are thick and sturdy. No little straggly hairs falling out all over the place so they hold paint well and don't make a mess.
